Musician Biographies
Some of the musicians who perform with Eddie Manzanares, either as a duo or as members of his Café Blanco band, are shown below.
Adrienne Bousquet - Vocals (USA)
Adrienne has been singing and performing since her "discovery" at a local talent show in 2007. She sings the great American standards and classics of yesterday by artists like Sinatra, Day, Vaughan, Presley, James, Holliday, and Fitzgerald. She has teamed up with Eddie to perform as an acoustic duo.
Bruce Kirton - Bass (England)
Bruce Kirton is one of the finest bass players in the entire Pacific Northwest. With his musical intuition, percussive technique, and solid swing feels, Bruce is the foundation of the band in terms of structure, melody, and dynamics. At home on the four, five, six string and fretless basses, he possesses the taste and drive that are the underpinnings of the group's sound. Originally from England, Bruce has toured all over the world with top name artists and has done extensive studio work throughout his career.
Cuco Martinez - Percussion, Bass, Vocals (Cuba)
Fran "Cuco" Martínez was born in Chicago, and grew up in Havana, Cuba, learning traditional Afro-Cuban music and various percussion instruments, string bass and bass guitar. He returned to the United States in 1973 and began playing with a variety of popular Latin. In 1975, he was hired to play congas with the Rolling Stones for their Los Angeles concert. He continues to play percussion, touring with Los Angeles-based Ricardo Lemvo and Makina Loca.
Debi Eng - Piano (USA)
Debi Eng has been teaching music in public schools since 1994. She is the musical director for Chiawana Stage Company, the choir director for Chiawana High School and also teaches piano lab. She has been the director of music at South Hills church, and has been involved professionally for 30 years playing jazz music.
Greg Miner - Tenor, Alto and Soprano Saxophone / Flute / Harmonica / Vocals (USA)
Greg has been playing sax and flute for over forty years. He has rare ability and talent with a very distinct style and tonality. Greg mastered his craft from years of study and performance. Among his many credits are three years recording and performing with Grammy award winner Weaver Copeland (of The Modernaires), two years as a staff musician at Small D.O.G. Records in Sonora, California, two years as a staff musician at Vertigo Records in Arnold, California, and numerous commercials for radio and television.
Jerry Yokel - Mandolin, Fiddle, Banjo, Harmonica, Vocals (USA)
Jerry Yokel, a fixture on the Walla Walla Valley music scene for over two decades, hails from "Kentuckiana" - an area in southern Indiana known for its close relationship with its neighbors to the south. He plays mandolin, fiddle, banjo, and harmonica. He performs with celtic, country, bluegrass, contra, and rock and roll bands such as the Bards of the Moor, Ryegrass String Band, Condor Conspiracy, Swing Set, Bing Bang, The Rogues, and The FrogHollow Band.
Manuel (Manny) Avila - Keyboard, Violin (USA)
Manny, currently a student at Columbia Basin College, plays piano for the CBC Jazz Band and has performed in the 1st violin position for the Inland Northwest Orchestra. He recently started performing with Eddie.
